Legal Question in Family Law in California
I completed a 4 month residential program and a 2 month transitional program, tested 2 times per week for five months and completed every request that was required in my maintenince plan for cps. The night before my case was to close I was arrested for Possesion of vicodin without a prescription, I had hurt my leg and with no insurance stupidly decided to not go to the hospital. My child was not with me he was in a safe enviroment with a friend. Cps opened a new case and forced me to tell them his whereabouts and then detained him from my friends home. He is now in a childrens home. I was released on my own recogonince. Is what they did legal? And what do I do?

You have not given us enough details to determine whether CPS acted legally. You should not be discussing the details online. Rather you should talk face to face with an experienced criminal defense attorney or a juvenile dependency lawyer.
