Legal Question in Family Law in California

I conceived in WA and moved to CA and gave birth to my daughter. Bio dad has never paid support and lives in WA. I filed a Petition in CA and was granted custody. Is it valid as I have just learned the support order must go through WA? I'M not sure about custody.

The support order is valid. Washington will be honoring the California order. He may try to fight it, especially if he had no knowledge of the child until now, but he will likely be forced to California to do that, since you and the child are here, assuming you have been here long enough to establish residency.
