Legal Question in Family Law in California

Concerned Family
My boyfriend has a 6 year old son that he pays child support for. His mother filed for child support when I was pregnant with out daughter. She is now 2 years old. My concern is that his son is not be taken care of appropriately. We have only seen the doctors insurance bill come very few times in the past 3 years (My boyfriend has his son on his insurance). We are also concerned because other people who have been in the house that the son lives in says that the living environment for him does not look good. Just yesterday some on my boyfriend's family members were concerned that he may be sick and not well dressed or fed. What can my boyfriend do? He has made many attempts to knock on their door and visit his son but noone is ever home to answer or may be hiding from us.

He should consult with an attorney to file a motion for visitation. If he already has an order for visitation he should seek to enforce the order.
