conservertorship for a family mental that has a mental illness

What are the steps that I should take in order to receive conservertorship for a family member that is mentally ill and is currently residing with me.

You need to file what's called a "Petition for Conservatorship." But you really should talk to an attorney. This can be a complicated process and there are many variables to consider.

If you can't afford an attorney, call the Public Law Center in Santa Ana. If you have very low income, they can help you find an attorney to do this for you pro bono.
