Legal Question in Family Law in California

Conservirtorship

My niece turns 18 in Sept., she lives with me and my parents are her guardians. She still needs over 100 credits to graduate high school. She has many disabilities and is unable to care for herself. I need to get conservitorship over her and her education. What are my first steps?

Thank you!

Re: Conservirtorship

First step would be to retain an attorney to help you with it. If you can't afford to retain an attorney, call your local bar association and ask for a referral to an attorney who can do it on a reduced fee or pro bono. There are many forms that need to be filled out, and steps to be taken.
