Legal Question in Family Law in California

What is considered abduction or violating a order?

Please help. Trying to protect my child. My child's father has full legal and physical custody. The child has not lived with the father for a year and the father has no contact with the child. If the child lives with me and the father is not notified would I be breaking any laws?? It is not safe for the child to live with the father. The child is 16 and has told me he wants to kill his father and will runaway. If the father is notified and instist the child live with him, is there an imediate action that can be taken?

You should consult with an attorney regarding the situation. Filing a motion for a change of custody, based on your statement, would be granted.
