Legal Question in Family Law in California

I was just contacted by a new attorney representing my ex-husband who was convicted of 2 felonies with special circumstances for domestic violence against me in 2004. i was awarded full physical and legal custody of our now 9 year old son. It appears he is going to fit for full or at least joint custody. What can I expect in this situation?

He may be a bad husband, but that does not mean he is a bad father. He will get joint legal custody and visitation. Your son needs a father and at age 9, he is old enuf to call the police if his father hits him.
