Legal Question in Family Law in California
contempt of court
I have filed a motion for contempt of court for my ex not paying correct spousal support amounts, paying late and violation of other custody issues. He tried to convince me to drop the motion and when I disagreed he threatened me on also filing a contempt motion against me. His reasons: being late to pick up/drop of children, talking bad about him and asking the children questions about him. Will a California judge seriously accept these motion? They seem ridiculous to me.

Would have been better to do something different to get him to comply.
Re: contempt of court
The conduct and statements referred to in your question, can be the basis for a contempt of court action. However, more important than the contempt, is the affect this conduct can have on you if there is a custody hearing.
