Legal Question in Family Law in California

Contempt / Moving out of CA

I was just served with papers (Order to show cause and affidavit for contempt) because I left the state of CA. My husband and I moved almost 3 years ago, and did get a verbal consent before moving. Although now he denies it. He decided to do this just a few months after I reopened the case with the Child Support Enforcement Dept. After the initial Order of child support and visitation in 2002 he had not seen our son, or sent child support long before we moved out of state, and he himself moved twice before we left once to Costa Rica, and then to Hawaii. What do I need to file, do I just enter a plea, can I get court appointed legal help?

Re: Contempt / Moving out of CA

Is the order a California or Georgia order. If California, you will need to get an attorney licensed in California to file a response. Do not miss your deadline to file the answer.
