Contested divirce

I have been married for six years. My husband has worked for los angeles county for twenty five years. I asked for a divorde and he retired he makes half of what he made when he was working. I wantede to know if i can get our house if i divorce him? It is not worth much, but i don't have anywhere else to stay if he decides to sell. Also we lived together off and on for twenty eight years, and have a 24 year old son.

The question that you ask required an analysis of many facts. Generally, the court must divide all community property so that each party gets and equal share.
