Continuance
I scheduled a a hearing for a motion of reconsidertaion, my ex's lawyer asked to have it continued, it has been rescheduled for Nov...is there anyway I can ask the court to move the hearing up?

Not unless you file an ex-parte motion..and that requires some exigency. By the way...if it was your motion, you will probably be before the same judge and he/she will expect some other information that wasn't available at the first hearing.
