Legal Question in Family Law in California

What can be done re: continuous harrassment

My child's mom has full physical custody and partial legal custody. She has made it impossible for me to have any relationship with my child. She is angry/bitter/vindictive. She continually harasses me: She has sued me several times claiming I am not paying her child support, she calls my home and screams at me, she will not allow me to have visitation, she's tried to have me arrested in criminal court for contempt. Each time I provide documentation to the court showing I've always paid support, she is admonished and the case is dropped. Being sued in criminal and family court is stressful, and I am forced to lose wages attending court each time. How can I stop her from suing me repeatedly, lying, and harrassing me? Counter-sue her? Is this type of behavior common? (The judges seem to figure her out quickly.)

You should retain an attorney. You should be able to get an order that she is not to harrass you and to support such an order request an order that you can record telephone conversations. This will allow you to gain evidence about her conduct. Then keep a record on a calendar regarding visitation, both visits and refusals to allow visitation.
