Legal Question in Family Law in California

Out of control daughter (family law)

My daughter who is almost 17 in a few days is just out of control. She has committed petty thief twice which resulted me into paying about 1500 in fines. She leaves the house whenever she feels like it. The the police ends up bringing her home. I'm real fed up with her. She has no respect for me. What can I do to get her out of my house? Some stuff I heard I can do is either get her emancipated or sign away my parental rights?

Re: Out of control daughter (family law)

You need to get help with this situation. There are groups that will help you deal with your daughter. You have been enabling her bad conduct by paying the consequences for her. She should have paid her own fines or served in jail. Look for the group that helps parents with the tough love program.
