Legal Question in Family Law in California
court awarded community property
I was awarded community due to a divorced which was a percent of my x spouces penefits . Due to legal matters the money was pulled from the fund in FEb. 6 2006. The City of San Diego Retierment Division failed to take out my share and are now saying that my X's law firm which did not know that my money was not taking out and that the law firm has to pay the City back. I
called the City and they said that yes they made a mistake but that it was none of my business. The money is now gone and I still do not have mine. This is again Court ordered and I need advise . They said they sent the law firm a check in the amount of 24,868.33 and they did not. I do have the paper work to prove this. Thank you,--

With that amount of money involved you should obtain an attorney to block any account that the funds went into to assure that you get your share. Good Luck, Pat McCrary

You may instigate litigation or perhaps a contempt proceeding. Discovery would be required. Call me directly at 16192223504.
