Legal Question in Family Law in California

I went to court and the judge raised my child support from 54 to 1089.00 because she was new on my case and i assumed she read past documnetation of being laid off and I am receiving unemployment. So i filed a order of motion to reconsider. I have my children 50/50 except my daughter spend very little with me. The judge based it on 3400.oo a month what I use to make 3 years ago last year I made only 2000.00 a month. I want to know if I have a good chance to get it lowered?

You have a very good chance of having it lowered if you are making less than you used to make, and everything else, including your ex's income, is the same. But only if the judge understands your situation. You need to contact the Family Law Facilitator in your county courthouse, to make sure you have filed everything correctly before the hearing.

I doubt that you are going to get it lowered to $54.00. That amount is ridiculously low based on the figures you have reported. It sounds as if someone on your behalf monkeyed with the dissomaster in the past order. It also sounds like the judge caught you with your hand in the cookie jar.
