Legal Question in Family Law in California

if there is no court order, can i legally keep my minor son with me and just allow supervised visitation to the other parent if my minor son always tells me for 2 months now that he doesn't want to go to the other parent?

If there is no court order, then the only law you are bound by is to allow frequent and continuing contact with the other parent, which could be as little as one supervised visit once a month. Of course, the other parent could do the same to you, in which case you would have to get a court order.
