Legal Question in Family Law in California
What does it mean when a court order says, this is a supplement to previous orders made. Such previous orders concerning custody of, and contacts with the child, which are not inconsistent with these orders, shall remain fully in force and effect.?

Pretty much just what it says. Whenever there are existing orders in a case and new orders are issued, there is a potential for dispute as to whether the new orders completely cancel previous orders and replace them, or if the old orders remain in effect and the new orders just add to the previous orders, and only cancel the previous orders to the extent the new order specifically differs from the previous orders. That language says all the previous orders are still in effect, unless the new order contradicts a part of the previous order, in which case the new order controls.
