Legal Question in Family Law in California

The court recently ordered joint legal and physical custody of my son. I left the state for one month to tend to family business. I instructed the mother to leave my son with my mother (grandma) during my absence for all of my parenting time. She has failed to deliver him. What can I do?

Not much unless the court order said your parents get your time when you can't have the child. Most orders actually say that if either parent cannot take their time the other parent is to care for the child. If you want to be able to enforceably leave your son with your parents if you are away, you need to get a custody order modification to say so.
