Legal Question in Family Law in California

CPS in California took my 3 year old child away. Although reunification services at one time were offered to me, I was unsuccessful with following thru with their demands. My child is with her grandmother. Before my rights to my child are taken away forever in court by CPS, could I voluntarily give custody of my daughter to her grandmother to get CPS out of our lives? And hopefully later get custody back without involving CPS?
