Legal Question in Family Law in California

My current court orders show that I have sole physical custody and my ex-husband has supervised visitation. The wording for the supervisor is "Jennifer (myself) or another mutually agreed upon party will be the supervisor" I am no longer able or willing to supervise the visits for various reasons. Am I able to require that a paid supervisor take over? He was sent a letter via certified mail mid April giving him a 3 week notice that I was no longer able to supervise. I gave him a few suggestions as far as supervisors were concerned, and even said that if he had another person in mind to bring it up to me and we could discuss it from there. He has not given any suggestions other than he does not need to have his visits supervised.

The answer doesn't change. You must supervise, work it out to select a new supervisor for visits, or go to court for a modification of the order to name another supervisor. You do not have any other legal options. His lack of cooperation in arranging for a new supervisor is not grounds for you to commit contempt of court by withholding visits or anything like that. Orders can only be modified by stipulation, or court ruling.
