Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am the custodial parent, made a mistake to let my child stay with non custodial parent and wrote a consent child may stay with dad 2012. I immediately changed my mind same day while they were driving out of state and said I want my child back. How can I reinstate that the child can come back to me

Contact the other parent by phone and in writing rescinding this informal agreement and attach to the written notice the existing order confirming that you are the court ordered custodial parent. Make a specific date and time to pick the child up. If necessary, have police standby to assist in picking up the child if the other parent refuses.
