Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have been in a custody battle for the last four years representing myself. We are now scheduled for trial and have a trial call tomorrow, what is the purpose of this and what am I to expect?

I am not aware of any California trial court rules that would require a "trial call" on a Saturday.

He may be talking about a "meet and confer" or something along those lines. The meetings are intended for the parties to talk and determine what the real issues are so that nobody wastes the Court's time with things that both parties agree on.
