Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have been in a custody case for my son. I have a legal aid lawyer becasue I can not afford a lawyer. I have not been in front of a judge yet, and this case has been just going on since april. just recently my lawyer said we are going to have a legal aid meeting. i have no idea when it comes to the law. i thought that it was a meeting over the phone with my lawyer to discuss the case. but instead it was a meeting over the phone with my lawyer his legal aid lawyer, and a judge. nothing was discussed but i was told that i had to share joint custody, when i was going for full custody. i feel that they did not want to be bothered with the case,the two legal aid lawyers, and that they decided on there own the life of my child. i feel that my lawyer did not investigate nothing, just filed papers, what i could of done. i feel he did nothing for me. this case was just pushed through fast just to get rid of it. there was a date set for the 15 of dec. but that has been cancelled and everything is over. my son is in danger, he is living with a drug dealer, and drug abuser, a drunk, and a person who has bi polar, i do not think that my son is safe, is this legal what they did, are they not suppose to check people out, see who is the best person to rasise a person, or just push things through. is there any recourse that i can do. i feel that i have been sideswiped and do not know what to do. i do not have money for a lawyer. what are my options.

Call the police and report the child abuse but be sure you can prove it and call the supervisor at legal aid and tell them what happened. Good luck!
