Legal Question in Family Law in California

Custody for children 2 to 3 years old.

I would like to know what the California legal system considers as a beneficial/normal custody arrangement for a child that is 2 1/2 years old.

I have read that it should be small amounts of time frequently. Temporary visitation is currently Wed. and Fri. nights for 4 hours plus 7 hours on Sunday. He wants every Wed. overnight plus every other weekend overnight.

Do the courts care at all that my husband is a gambler, had an affair and now lives 15 miles away with his girlfriend?

Re: Custody for children 2 to 3 years old.

The visitation schedule you outlined appears to be reasonable. It would be unsuual for a child that young to have overnight visits.

The court would not be interested in the fact that he is living 15 miles away with his girlfriend, unless she somehow poses a threat to the safety of the child. The gambling would be viewed similarly.
