Custody

how much $$$ does it usually cost for a father to file a petition for custody? my gf and i split up about 4 months ago and now that she found out of my new relationship she wont let me see my 5 yr old. neither her or i have legal custody of him by a court. is she doing something illegal? after i submit my petition with the court, can i ask for a temp. order to see him and have custody of him 50/50 until the judge rules?

You can file your Petition and an Order to Show Cause. If there is a denial of ANY CONTACT AT ALL, you can file an ex parte requesting visitation. Set forth all your facts to the Court.
