Legal Question in Family Law in California

custody before court

can the father of my children have visitation without a court order. court is not until 1 month and he has walked out a few weeks ago. he has a violent and mental backround and the court has denied my temporary restraining order. i fear he will take or hurt the kids. what can i do until court date. please help. scrared and discouraged....
