Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have custody of my daughter, her mom has visitation for thanksgiving. We live in two different states, and her mom is planning on relocating to a different state during the visitation period. Can i legally tell her if she wants visitation she has to do it here where we live, since her visitation will be in a different state at her new home?

Depends on what state the divorce custody order is from, and may also depend on what state you are in, what state she is in and what state she is moving to, as well as the exact wording of your custody order.

If this is a California order and there is no restriction in the order on place of visitation you cannot stop the visitation unless you change the court order. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
