Legal Question in Family Law in California
custody 730 eval
i am trying to relocate to texas and my son's father is being difficult. i've offered all vacation time through out the year and offered to pay for flights. he wouldn't agree to nothing judge ordered a 730 eval and ordered my ex to pay for it. i showed up to the appointment and found out my ex canceled. since it was a court ordered 730 what happens now? is there something i can do? i feel like this is just an attempt to keep me here longer. i'm confused and don't know what to do next. just want to know if i can take my son or not. i had a case with my daughter's father and already got permission to take her with me so i'd like to keep my kids together

Re: custody 730 eval
I hate to say "Yes, you absolutely can take your daughter" because not all the facts are known. The fact that he didn't show up for the 730 evaluation is helpful to your case. I recently helped a woman relocate to TX with her daughter, and visitation was arranged so that she could send their daughter back almost once a month for several days at a time.
