Legal Question in Family Law in California

Custody question

My son is 15 1/2 years of and he live with me the mother. I am taking the father to court to pay 1/2 the amount for our son's braces which is a court order. The father called my son's school for info on his progress. He is up set that I am taking him into court to pay 1/2 the amount for braces and is getting revenge with me. Can he take my son from me.

You have not provided sufficient information to even guess at the possibility. The general rule is that the court is concerned about how your son is doing in school. If he has many absences and tardies with poor grades, the court will seriously consider changing custody. You should consult wiht an attorney.
