Legal Question in Family Law in California
custody/visitation
I have a daughter with a very immature, selfish 19 year old woman. I am 20. I lived with her from before the baby was born up until she was 2 mo. old. Now that we are broken up, she refuses to let me take the baby out of her house. I have to go sit over there in order to visit. I can only go over when she is in school at night which means the baby goes to sleep after 15 minutes. I have a court date in June for custody/visitation. She doesn't answer my text messages and has recently changed her phone number. I just want to be a father to my daughter. I want to watch her grow and reach her milestones, not see her when her mother isn't in a bad mood. Her mother and 16 year old sister are both bi-polar and on medication for it. I have a feeling she is as well. She changes her mind every day. One day she talks to me like nothing is wrong and the next day she tells me not to call her ever again. She won't allow any of my family members to see the baby. Does she have this right if she has no court-ordered custody? What if I go over to visit and leave the house with the baby while she is at school? I just want to take her to see my family. We live 5 minutes apart and my mom hasn't seen her granddaughter in 4 months.
