Legal Question in Family Law in California

custody/visitation order

I have an existing custody order. It originated from the down town Los Angeles Superior Court. The child and I have been living in Long Beach for years...how do I transfer the case to the Long Beach Court house for modification?

Re: custody/visitation order

You don't. A "change of venue" refers to a change from one county to another when no one resides there any longer. You don't change from one courthouse to another within the same county after their are existing orders, you go back to the same courthouse.
