Legal Question in Family Law in California

custoy and visitation

I have never been married or lived with my baby's father. The baby is almost 1 year. We want an agreement about custody, visitations and child support. I am gonna have sole custody ( physical and legal). Can we do that? If is it an agreement we should go to court?

Re: custoy and visitation

You need to file a court action to establish his paternity so that your child's rights are locked in. If you have an agreement, once the court action is filed, you file a stipulation for judgment and the matter can be resolved without any court hearings.
