Legal Question in Family Law in California

Isnt that cxhild abandonment

I have full, sole custody of all 4 of my children. my children and I moved about an hour and a half away from our old home town but their father stayed in the area. My oldest daughter wanted to deserastly stay in the area(where her dad was still going to live) because of her boyfriend and she wanted to graduate with her friends from high school. I just found out that her dad left her at her boyfriends house and told her to live there. he has moved out of his old apartment and changed his phone number. She says that he will not allow her to call because he doesnt want me to have his new phone number--but--while that may be true --im sure that she is acually living with her boyfrined and his family now--Ive tried 1,00000000 times to contact her in the past 2 weeks --and ive gone to her boyfriends house and frineds houses- but no -one ever knows where she is--Ive called her school and the counslar has said she would help--but I still want to know if I can press charges against her dad for child abondonment?

A Judge can issue a warrant in lieu of a writ of habeas corpus. This document can be taken to local law enforcement. They should then proceed to arrest the boyfriend and take her before the court. You can then request that your daughter be returned to you custody. Then get your daughter to counseling as quickly as possible. This should be joint counseling with you and your daughter.
