Legal Question in Family Law in California

My daughter was born in CA and lives in MA.

She is trying to move to CA at 16 and live with her grandparents and re-establish residency there even though I have full custody of her. What are the laws in CA about this. If she gets out there will I be able to get her back?

You are still the parent, so yes, you have every say in the world about this. The only way your daughter could be forcibly kept from you would be if the grandparents were to file for a guardianship. And, in that case, the court would have to make a determination that it is detrimental for your daughter to be returned to you and necessary to establish a guardianship. If they were to file for this before your daughter was here, then the courts would have no jurisdiction as she is not here. Good luck!
