My daughter and her and her boyfriend got a 14 mo baby girl. He is unimploy and gets unemployment benefits but is not willing to look for work. My daughter is burden with all economic responsabilitys and would like to terminate the relationship but is afraid that he will get joint custudy.

It is impossible to terminate the relationship between child and parent unless for a pending adoption. There is also a presumption that absent good cause, the child has a right to share in both parents' lives. The courts do not see it that because a person does not have a job, that they should not be given any rights. And, you are right, unless there is something wrong with the father, yes, the court would give joint custody.
