Legal Question in Family Law in California
I have a daughter with my ex boyfriend. We split up in May of this year, because he got arrested for felony child abuse against my son. I am wanting to move out of the state of California. Can he stop me if the last time he saw our daughter was in August. She has medical conditions that he is not involved in also. We do not have any custody orders. Can I leave with her and not get into trouble?

If there are no court proceedings pending regarding paternity or custody of the child, you can move. If he finds out, though, he could probably get an order stopping you at least until there could be a full court hearing on custody and where the daughter will live.
