Legal Question in Family Law in California
I have a daughter who is over 18 and I have just introduced her to her father. He wants a paternity test to verify. If the paternity test comes back that he is the father, do I have any recourse as far as collecting some kind of financial support for the last 18 years?

You can only go back three years for back support, from the date of filing the request. So if she is already 18, you have less than three years you can collect. You should initiate a petition to establish paternity and for back support as soon as possible.
