My daughter is leaving her boy friend because of abuse, but she is afraid that he might damage her property before she leaves, if he does can he go to jail for willfully damaging her property ?

She should contact the local abuse center that helps abused women. They can evaluate her situation and determine her chances of obtaining a domestic violence restraining order. Then request an order giving her possession of their home. This will allow her to remove her property while he is out of the home. She should take pictures of the items she removes.
