Legal Question in Family Law in California
My daughter has lived with me for 13 years and me and her father had a court order about 13 years ago he has since moved to Georgia since about 8 years ago we verbally agree she goes there in the summer. My daughter has expressed to both of us she does not want to live with her dad. Some recent events have taken place with my daughter being angry and holding everything in, I have just got her into counseling, now her father is blaming me saying she would not have these issues if she lived there. So he threatened to sue me for custody. Is that possible? She is suppose to go there for the summer my fear is he will keep her there. Please help

He can go to court in California and request a change of custody. It appears appears that he has little chance of getting a change in custody.
Your question suggests that there's a pending court order requiring a child to be with father during the summer. If the child does not want to be with father and you believe that there's justification for that request, then you may wish to return to court on a motion to suspend the summer visitation.
