Legal Question in Family Law in California

my daughter is currently living with my sister . she does not have legal custody. she is moving to nevada in july, but has not asked my permission to take my daughter. can she legally do this?

A bigger question has to do with the father's involvement and whether or not he will object to the move. In California, we have a "Caregiver's Affidavit" which gives your sister some powers over your daughter, if you sign it, but Nevada does not have to accept that. Best would be if your sister would set up legal guardianship over your daughter so that she could have full legal authority to act over your daughter. Good luck!
