Legal Question in Family Law in California

My daughter is recently divorced after 22 yrs. married and she now lives in Tx. The majority of her married life they lived in Calif. including when they married. My question is I found lost money with the state controller of Ca. in her ex husband name but it was while they were married in Calif. and in a house that they lived in together. Is she intitled to half of that money and how does she get it

Assuming the divorce was in California, your daughter files a motion in the family law case requesting the division of ths omitted asset.
