Legal Question in Family Law in California

my daughters dad works for his dad at a plumbing business and he pays him under the table to dodge child support taking it out automatically. how do i go about getting child support in a situation like this?

IF you can prove what you say, you can have him hauled into court for contempt. Chances are, however, you will need an attorney to get evidence that is both solid proof AND admissible in court under the rules of evidence.

After you file a motion, you can request proof of income and expense information via formal discovery. In some cases, the bills paid by the parent are greater than the total of the income he is claiming. That information would suggest dad has more income that what he reports and the court may then attribute more income for purposes of support.
