Legal Question in Family Law in California
my daughters settlement agreement gives her sole physical & joint legal custody. It also states in the event she relocate out of state, she will provide 25% of cost of transaportation for non custodial parent to visit. Per agreement childs residence will always be in the USA. There is no stipulation about moving out of CA. Does she need court permission to move from CA to Tx

To avoid the possibility of her ex filing a motion to stop the child's relocation to Texas, she should fie and serve a motion requesting the move. It's a risky step to relocate without a clear and unequivocal order allowing this relocation out of California.
