Legal Question in Family Law in California

Daycare Receipts

I am the custodial parent of a 4-year-old. The non-custodial parent was ordered to pay child support on 5-16-08. Non-Custodial parent has only 27% visitation. We do share joint custody. Under California law, only I can claim daycare expenses, for tax return purposes. Am I legally obligated to share those receipts with the non-custodial parent?

Re: Daycare Receipts

You should check with the order to see what the requirements are for day care. If he is ordered to pay for day care then he would need to verify the payments first.

Good luck,
