Death of former husband, no will, no life ins. as required in divorce agreement

My former husband recently died, leaving no will. He had remarried. As part of our divorce agreement, he was required to have life insurance, my son and I as beneficiaries, as long as he was paying spousal support. It seems there was no insurance. What is my next step?

You can make a claim against the estate for the amount of life insurance that he was to maintain. You will undoubtedly need an attorney. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
