Since you were put on the deed prior to the marriage, he can't claim you breached a fiduciary duty. Not sure why he added you to deed in first place. Did you give him something in return for the house? If so, it will be a little difficult for him to take it back now.
Hire a competent attorney and assert the appropriate claims, you should get all your inheritance money back.

It sounds like your boyfriend is bulling you. You may have a community property interest in the house, and an interest based on the increase in value from the remodel you paid for (which may be more or less than the cost of the remodel). But the answer to your question requires more than this forum can offer. You need legal advice based on a careful analysis of the facts of your situation. You probably need an appraisal of the house as well. You should start by retaining an experienced family attorney. Don't make decisions based on bullying.
