Legal Question in Family Law in California

Defamation of Character by former spouse

My former husband recently sent me email informing me that he shares email that I send him with co-workers at his present company. The email that he shares is in regard to the sharing of expenses and schedules of the children that we have joint custody over. Generally, the email are ongoing battles between the two of us.

The co-workers that he shares information with happen to be former co-workers of mine as my former spouse and I worked at the same company. In addition, due to the nature of the business that I am in, I am required to use his current employer (and my fomer employer) for product approvals. I am concerned that his current co-workers will unnecessarily delay approvals for my current employer's products.

Showing someone email YOU sent is not against the law. If you dont want anyone to see it, dont send him email.
