Demand for production and inspection of documents adn tangible things

In Exhibit A, opposing counsel has requested: all writings or statements relating to any cellular phone account in your name from January 1, 2001 to the present date.

Is this legal and is something I can do to block this request.

I am self-employeed and I am in a terrible custody battle. The ex-wife is trying to find more income for child support.

Yes, that is a valid request, although it may do little to establish the amount of support to be paid. You may object if the reply gives away proprietary information that could hurt your business. Good Luck, Pat McCrary

Yes, it is very legal. You may be able to block out some of the numbers dialed if you believe it violates your or another's rights to privacy. You will need to bring a motion to quash before the response is due in order to get an order from the court allowing you to do this.
