Legal Question in Family Law in California

Demand for Production

I was not married to the father of my son. I would like to serve him with a demand or request for production of I&E and bank records, IRS, W2'S ETC....

What is the easiest way to retrieve this information and now that he is married can I also request her information as well or will I need a subpeona for her information. Also, what forms will I need?

Re: Demand for Production

You can use form 1292.15 to request an income and expense form. That form can be found on line or at the courthouse. What are you going to do if he doesn't reply. You should get a consultation with an attorney who can explain the importance of the new wife's information (it will probably reduce his support obligation, that's backwards, but that is how it works) The attorney can also explain what you can expect. You may want to look at my web page www.californiachildsupport.com which can answer many of your questions about child support.

you are not entitled to her information. for his information there are a number of options. i would start with the family law form interrogatories. you can get them from the court clerk.
