Dependants Defined

I need to know If my fulltime college student is taken into consideration when the child support orders are written. Is a full time college student a dependant?

My support went from $189 per month to $579 because my son turned 18 and is graduating in June, but is accepted as full time college student.

The Fed's say I can claim him but why not when it comes to child support?

California law requires that child support be paid until a child is 18 years old unless the child is a full time student in high school, then support continue to age 19.
